Elk River Stream Conditions

Stream Conditions

Draining from Cheat and Gauley Mountains on the Pocahontas and Randolph County line, the Elk is West Virginia’s premier trout fishery with an average of 10,000 fish netted annually to rod and line. It has something for everyone, from slow meandering pools to cataract mountain rivulets yet all areas offer the great chance of meeting a trout. The famous Mill Pool, Sulphur Run, Clay Banks and Angle Hole are just a few of the options open to our clients. Local Knowledge and experience learned over many years give a great advantage when chasing big browns and rainbows, so let us help you to learn how to fish The Elk and meet her trout.
